Bright lights, big city — what’s not to love about New York?
In fact, I’m such a big fan that I was delighted to commemorate my most recent visit with a little photoshoot, resulting in a selection of low-key images of me strolling the pretty streets of Soho and Little Italy. They’ll be up in my Gallery soon, but you can check them out here first!
It was such a fun day, wandering down Soho streets looking for fun places to pose. I even took off my shirt so you could have the pleasure of the full effect of my new pink lingerie (courtesy of a gift voucher from a lovely friend). Unfortunately, my hair suffered a bit in the New York summer humidity, but I still think the photos are amazing. I have to admit that I was quite hot and sweaty by the end of the morning, but you can’t tell in the pictures!
As you may be aware, New York has always been one of my favourite cities. Rooftop bars in the summer, strolls through Central Park, and eating bagels in bed (did you see my selfie on Twitter?) are some of my favourite things to do!
My top recommendations from my recent trip include: dinner at Lower East Side Italian eatery Sauce — we had the bolognese, the truffle gnocchi, and the white pie pizza, accompanied by a very lovely bottle (or two) of Montepulciano; cocktails at Broken Shaker rooftop bar at the Freehand New York hotel (the lychee cocktail was my favourite!); and gelato at Figo Il Gelato — I got a pistachio-amaretto-coffee combo in a cone.
